The Honeymoon Chronicles: Day 2..Part II

Now where were we? so we changed or in my case I ditched my hat, wore a long sleeved top under my dress for added warmth...I love wearing layers and the weather in Paris was perfect for it...and I also changed my bag to the new one from Mango for an all black rocker girl look......

We went to pick the Malimi's in their room and they had this ipod dock so we listened to some music for a bit...
the Dj
cracking Rey up with my badazz Bolingo moves LOL...

and off we went to check out this huge underground Mall Chatelet Des Halles...we had to walk all the way there...the french consider walking from Posta to Kariakoo a short distance WTH? so no taxi no matter how much junk food we ate I think we didn't gain any weight on this trip we just burned it all walking no wonder they say French people don't get fat...

We didn't stay long at Des Halles which is huuuuuge!! an underground mall with about four levels down I think, they have everything down there we went crazy at H&M but believe it or not the only thing I got from there was these cool Aviator shades from the men section and lots of stuff for Alyssa...the hubby though he went crazy in there, turns out am not the only shopaholic in the family LOL!

We had a Seine river boat tour set up for the evening and we had to go to this place down town, so we thought we could just get a taxi and we show the address to these taxi drivers and they are like no no its five minutes away so they cant do short distance, so we thought it was close by oh my God I have never walked that long in my life!!! Thank God these sneaker wedges are very comfortable, we finally got there found out we had missed the bus that was to take us to the river dock, so we had to take a taxi there at least the docks were far enough for the taxis duh...

At the docks, we didn't take pictures here, we were about to miss the boat...we got there just in time....

Inside the Bateaux...french for a flat bottomed boat...there are lots of companies operating city tour boats on the Seine river, there are fancy restaurants ones and you get to enjoy a nice french dinner with a glass of wine while cruising down the Seine river...next time we are in Paris will definitely try those Travelmania make it happen!

Inside the Bateaux

You get to listen to the commentaries about the scene stretching before you through these weird contraptions we are holding

We love shoes....

Nikaanza Kusinzia...I cant help it...whenever I sit still for too long I will fall asleep especially after all the walking  we had just done.

Passing under the Magnificent Ponte Alexandre III bridge...Paris is not only known as the city of Lights or the city of love, it's also known as the city of many Bridges...the Seine river runs though Paris and it's very very big and has about 37 Bridges on it, huge and grand bridges each different from the other with very nicely maintained banks where people go to chill and wave at the tour boats. You can also see a lot of the city through the river as it passes by the Musee de Louvre, Notre dame Cathedral etc...

Then I fell asleep completely...After the tour we grabbed a quick snack at the dock and then walked to the Eiffel Tower...I was wide awake for that...

at the second level of the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel tower has a about three levels, the first level has restaurants which are by reservation only, and then the second level and then there's the top! We didn't go to the top though...

View of Le Madeleine from Eiffel Tower

the lights coming on as it got darker...

And then when it gets dark the whole Eiffel towel lights up! its such a magnificent sight!

and light show starts then whole tower start sparkling all over it's so magical!! wish we stayed longer but we had a bus to catch for the night illumination tour of the city...to see why Paris is called the City of Lights...unfortunately I was just so tired then I fell asleep through most of it, I just remember waking up briefly in between and seeing this beautiful magical city light up in lights! please google Paris by night to get an idea...it's a must see

Stay tuned for Day 3...and check out Travelmania for all their great vacation and honeymoon packages or if you just like to travel, these guys will make it come true and are very affordable too.
