For the long haul...

It's super hot over here, am hanging out at home with my very loud and chatty companion Alyssa who has taken over the TV so it's cartoons all day...no chance of getting some sleep here...

am still preggers, still many weeks to go...very tired and this hot weather is not helping...my bump is super huge now and harder to dress but I try my best...here are some of the outfits I have been wearing...

Wore this to my birthday party in october and to my brother's graduation

I currently don't have a dada so wherever I go Alyssa goes (mommy and daughter time) and she doesn't mind as long as she gets to play...

addicted to this juicy chicken breast sandwich at Kahawa Lounge

incase you are wondering nope am not having twins (it would be a nice surprise if I was) am just very big because I gain weight easily and fast and I have been giving in to the cravings, weighing 90kgs as of now, it's like I gain exactly 10kgs every month, I only got to 81kgs when I was pregnant with Alyssa.

Flower power...

Helloooo everyone!

it has been so so so very long since I did a post or even logged in, I have been sick these couple of months, I had my very first tooth removal last month not an experience I ever want to repeat ever again, then my heartburn/acid reflux keeps me awake all night, not to mention the never ending trips to the bathroom, which means by morning am so exhausted all I want to do is just sleep some more...and now I have a bronchitis attack which I haven't had since I was 18, now I understand when they say each pregnancy is different cause when I was pregnant with  my first baby Alyssa I never got sick at all apart from the morning sickness in the first trimester I was fine and energetic through out and I went to work all the way to the end (my office was on the third floor and there was no elevator, quite the work out) but this time around am so tired so soon...must be cause am all lazy at home all day...today is a good day, I woke up refreshed and decided to seize the moment...

I have a doctor appointment tomorrow, am dreading to hear how much weight I have gained this past month, my belly is really huge and since am very short it's even more so...good news is my skin is still okay no breakouts or discolorations although my face is getting puffier everyday especially my nose and my fingers are like little sausages...

Rotary Dar Marathon

The Rotary Dar Marathon is one of the most successful charity fundraising events in Tanzania.  The 2011 and 2012 Marathons raised over $840,000 and the result is one of the most modern and successful Pediatric Oncology Wards in Sub-Saharan Africa located at Muhimbili National Hospital.  You can learn more about the Marathon atwww.rotarydarmarathon.com.

This Year all proceeds will be used to build an 800 Sqm state of the art Learning Resource Centre at the UDSM.  As part of the existing library, this refurbishment will include natural ventilation, artwork, information skills training, disability access and provision for e-services - all encouraging social, interactive and collaborative learning spaces designed to Empower Future Leaders Through Education.

See you there!

The Hulk...

I know my posts have been far in between, that's because I rarely get a chance to dress up and go out of the house lately, I just spend the day sleeping, eating and reading, been very lazy lately...the very idea of going out of the house is exhausting when I think of driving, traffic jams, the heat oh no...but I do look forward to weekends when I get to go out with my family get some fresh air, mishkaki, window shop, church or even taking Alyssa to the playground any chance to dress up a little and wear makeup and feel human again...

I got this beautiful and very comfortable green H&M dress from as a present from Bongoshopaholic, it's perfect for my growing bump but it's also something I can wear even after the baby, I still haven't bought any maternity clothes, everything I have is something I can wear even after the baby with a little alteration in size maybe...but I'm thinking of getting some maternity jeans if I can get a comfortable pair...I also usually pick clothes that I can easily breastfeed in without struggling so much...so I usually go for deeper/V-necklines

I love the black lace detail on top and the exposed zipper, they just make the dress.

One day at a time...

Hello everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend, I had a great Saturday out of the house for the first time in a week, spent a few hours at Bongoshopaholics, got my nails and hair done and that always puts me in a happy mood. I had a full house on Sunday with my mama formally visiting my new home for the first time and that's a big-to-do in my Nyambo/Haya culture, cooked all day (not my  most favourite thing to do, I confess LOL) all in all it was a great day spent with family and friend...until Manchester lost big and hubby's day was ruined...I feel your pain Manchester fans (hello Vivette hehehe) am so glad am not a football or any sports fan LOL, I'll watch but I won't lose sleep over it (not a single athletic bone in me)

Just another easy comfy weekend outfit wearing all black, with my scarf to add some elegance.

I have always wanted to get curls like these done on my hair, but all the saloons I have gone to no one has ever managed to do it right, I would even show them pictures but nope they would do what they want, the only way I could get it done is if I do it my self at home but it's so tiring to do my whole head (I don't know how those youtube girls do it) but this guy who also did my nails at American nails Saloon Kinondoni did it perfectly!!! love love it!

Little Miracle...

Hello everyone,

hope you had a wonderful weekend! last Saturday I had my Closet Sale at Bongoshopaholics, remember last week I mentioned that I will be selling some of my clothes, shoes and bags on my facebook page? due to demand and all of you being in different parts of town and me being unable to take pictures of all the stuff, Olivia of BongoShopaholics was kind enough to let me use her shop for the day, and I got to meet some of you...most especially Elsa who has been asking about this sale since last year!!...now if you missed last Saturday don't worry there's still plent of stuff left, we will have another sale on the coming Saturday and if you dont find anything you like on my stuff you still have plenty to choose from on Bongoshopaholics stock! to see some of the stuff am selling do check my page HERE don't forget to LIKE my page please!

Now on to my outfit, this is what I wore to the clinic last week I got there at 7.30am thinking am going to be the first one in and get the first number only to find the place near full LOL I ended up with number 59. My blouse got all wrinkled when I went for the uItrasound scan, it was hubby's first scan and he got to see the baby for the first time, the expression on his face  was priceless until last week it was all vague to him what goes on in my huge belly LOL now he got to see the baby moving about with the doctor explaining all the little parts and it became so real like wow we have a growing little person in there now...
